proudly presents for your bidding pleasure this...

...1963 copy of "Shoot The  Curl" and "Surfin' Down The Swanee River" by The Honeys, the first female surf group. Brian Wilson, of Beach Boys fame, wrote and can be heard singing on "surfin' Down The Swanee River". He was married to Marilyn Rovell. Her sister Diane and Ginger Blake composed the rest of the Honeys. This was their only picture sleeve 45. This particular sleeve has a dedication which reads "To Mrs. Hard, May God bless and protect you always. You've been swell- Hope you like our next record as well-Love, Ginger". Probably a gift to an ex-teacher or? Sleeve has impressions showing outline of record and a little dog eared at opening. Record plays well. A little scuffing on one side. I don't like to rate these, but VG to VG+ is probably accurate. Truly a rare piece of surf music history offered with NO RESERVE!
