So here you have it: Maybe your last chance to own the crown juwel of every half-decent NWOBHM collection, the „Flying High“ EP by Hollow Ground. NWOBHM guru Martin Popoff from Canada valued the single at 320 US $ in his book „The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Singles“.
Malc Macmillan wrote in his fantastic tome „The N.W.O.B.H.M. Encyclopedia“: „Right from day one in the NWOBHM collecting scene, the famous Hollow Ground EP has been regarded as one of the most illustrious and sought-after releases of the era.... The sheer reverence afforded to the original vinyl article is testimony to its importance to the NWOBHM community today, with a handful of collectors still being prepared to pay a pretty extortionate price for the few copies (a significant number of which were issued without the coveted picture sleeve) which occasionally come up for sale.“
The copy up for sale is in excellent condition, the vinyl only shows two tiny (inaudible) surface marks. The sleeve (front and back) is a high quality copy cover on extremely thick photo paper (and looks almost like the real thing).
