Description
You are bidding on a 'His Master's Voice' Model 97c portable gramophone c.1950's. Manufactured by EMI Industries who were formed out of the amalgamation of HMV and Columbia in1936.
This is one of the last gramophones models made before their demise in the UK in the 1960's.
The rexine case is in good condition and shows little signs of wear and the gramophone even comes with its original key - which is very rare!
The fittings are chrome plated and the soundbox is a 'badge engineered' Columbia No.15, which was fitted to these machines and badged for both HMV and Columbia.
The gramophone comes complete with the turntable top record storage tray which was originally sold as an extra part and I will throw in some needles for free.
