Description
"I Wish You Could" b/w "A Certain Girl"
Mega-Rare 1965 1st United States Yardbirds release and one of the rarest worldwide picture sleeves. The sleeve names the record incorrectly as "I Wish You Could" when in reality the song is called "I Wish You Would". Epic caught the error and corrected the label during production but did not reprint the picture sleeve. This was not a promotional sleeve, it was intended to accompany the commercial single as well, and like many other sleeves of the day included advertising aimed at the teen market. The back of this one carried an ad for Esquire Socks' 'Denim Tones'.
The labels are bright white and clean, no writing or stickers. Playing surfaces are bright and shiny with no signs of play that I can see.
The sleeve shows some spotting on the right side which i have photographed up close for you. There is also a record storage impression on front and back. No stickers, no tears, no seam splits.
Overall a very good+ copy of the rarest US Yardbirds record & sleeve.
