Another gem from my own personal collection and one which I will be extremely sorry to see go as I think this is Jimi Hendrix's finest album and one of the great rock albums. Not only that but this is a FIRST PRESSING MONO Lp with A1 / B1 matrix numbers and complete with the scarce INSERT. Track 612003 - AXIS BOLD AS LOVE by the JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE with insert!!!!! First let me say that this stunning album plays brilliantly all through with the only fault being a small scratch which causes a few light clicks on the short opening spoken track EXP and a couple of non sounding surface scuffs on side 2. Apart from this the record is a joy to listen to with no other clicks, pops, distortion or undue surface noise. In fact this album plays a lot better than many brand new albums that I have purchased. Consequently I would grade this vinyl as excellent minus. The thick quality vinyl lays perfectly flat and the labels are clean and bright with no writing. There are quite a few spindle marks indicating that it has been well played but it has been well looked after and not abused. Ernest J Day & Co Ltd gatefold sleeve is very good plus with no rips, tears or writing. The bottom corners are slightly bumped, there is some slight feathering of the opening edge and a rub about 1 1/2" to top edge of front gatefold. This apart a more than acceptable sleeve. The scarce lyric insert is in excellent condition with only a tiny crease to the top left corner and some very light general handling creasing to be expexcted. The record is housed in a replacement inner sleeve but the orginal is included and in good condition. First pressing mono copies of this album are very scarce now and especially with the lyric insert and in this sort of condition. Please see my feedback and bid with cofidence as I do my best to honestly describe the items I auction. I am positive that the winning bidder will be delighted with this rare and wonderful album. Please see my other Hendrix items which I am equaly reluctant to let go but must.
