NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION

This listing is for the 2023 limited-edition turquoise vinyl reissue of ᛚᛁᚠᚫ = Lifa (Heilung Live at Castlefest), the live album by experimental neofolk collective Heilung, released by Season of Mist (SOM 460 LPCU). The performance includes “Opening Ceremony,” “In Maidjan,” “Alfadhirhaiti,” “Carpathian Forest,” “Krigsgaldr,” “Hakkerskaldyr,” “Fylgija Ear / Futhorck,” “Othan,” and “Hamrer Hippyer.” The cover photograph is by Kees Stravers.

Recorded during the group’s performance at Castlefest 2017, Lifa captures Heilung’s fusion of reconstructed ancient texts, throat and rune singing, ritual percussion, and historically inspired instrumentation. The performance helped introduce Heilung’s self-described concept of “amplified history” to an international audience and became one of the defining recordings of the group’s early career.

This edition is limited to 500 copies worldwide and presents the complete nine-part Castlefest performance across two LPs. The records are housed in their original gatefold jacket, include the original printed inner sleeves, and have been play tested.

NEAR MINT (NM or M-)

Vinyl looks freshly opened with full gloss and no visible marks, spindle wear, or surface noise. Sleeve is crisp and clean with no creases, seam splits, or ring wear.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl shows light signs of use, possibly a few minor scuffs or hairlines that do not affect play. Sleeve may show slight wear, including light edge wear, a small crease, or minimal ring wear.

Very Good (VG)

Vinyl has visible surface wear and light scratches, with occasional surface noise but no skips. Sleeve shows moderate wear such as ring wear, seam splits, writing, or creasing.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+), or Very Good Minus (VG-)

Poor (P) or Fair (F)

Vinyl is cracked, warped, or skips during playback and is typically unplayable. Sleeve is extremely damaged or destroyed, with severe tears, water damage, or missing elements.
