Description

Original UK pressing on the obscure Rubber label from 1974. The record and the textured sleeve are in near mint condition.

Rare 1974 debut LP on UK Rubber Records, self-titled LP by Hedgehog Pie. Comparisons to Trees, Fairport Convention and Pentangle are deserved as this is top shelf electric UK folk with fuzzy guitar overtones that cause psych collectors to breathe heavy.

The Tapestry of Delights book reads the following about this album:
A Geordie folk-rock band whose albums were produced by Rick Kemp of Steeleye Span and released on the small independent Newcastle-upon-Tyne-based Rubber label. Martin Jenkins had previously been with Dando Shaft. Their albums are now quite rare and conjure up a fresh and vibrant interpretation of the genre. They continued to play throughout the decade.
