The set is numbered with two separate prefixes, SAL for the earlier recordings and DE LUXE for the later ones. There are two variants to the label, red-and-silver and red-and-white, both of which were stickered at the pressing plant with white promo bands. See sample in the last photo. This set was clearly intended for promotional purposes, such as air play on radio, music reviewers, record company executives, artists management and, last but not least, the members of the Beaux Art Trio themselves. This set, which was recorded during the 1970s, is still the only complete modern instruments version of Haydn's piano trios. Imagine if there were only one version of the trios of Mozart or Beethoven! It was one of the most ambitious undertakings to produce and record during the heyday of vinyl, and it was a stunning masterpiece of interpretation. After performing a number of the trios in concert, the Beaux Arts Trio gave itself time to thoroughly study and absorb every piece. Only when Menahem Pressler, Isidore Cohen and Bernard Greenhouse, the personnel of the Trio at that time, felt ready did they go into the studio. And their patience and persistence paid off handsomely. The Trio's performance is first rate, and the recording quality is some of Philips' best sound.

These are recordings that deserve to be in every classical collection. To have a complete set of them in MINT condition--never played, never abused--is a golden opportunity. It's rare to find the complete set in such pristine condition. Go for it!
