The overall impression I get is that this 52 year old record has not been played or handled much. The record plays well and sounds great. It would be hard to find a better example.
This example has recently been unearthed from long term storage. Formerly owned by a veteran of the British late 1960s counterculture scene.  Values of Hawkwind albums are now rising fast following renewed interest in the band following the publication of the Joe Banks book Hawkwind - Days of the Underground which reappraises Hawkwind's unique music. This iconic first Hawkwind album has often been underrated and not considered representative of the band's 1970s output, but is now becoming highly desirable for its ground breaking (at the time) psychedelic soundscapes. It and the band originated from the late 60s/early 70s Ladbroke Grove scene, also currently much written about.
The record has been visually graded as in overall EXCELLENT condition with only a few very feint storage/sleeve removal marks, no scratches I can see. The labels are clean and writing free with no significant spindle wear.
The gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. There is very minor wear to the sleeve opening side but otherwise all edges, spine and corners are in good condition. The colours of this visually stunning sleeve by Arthur Rhodes are vibrant and not at all faded.  The record has been carefully stored away from sunlight in a plastic outer sleeve.
Please look carefully at the pictures which are part of the description.
I broadly grade records according to on the 'Record Collector' grading guide.
The item will be sent packed out of the inner sleeve in a new poly lined inner and encased in a plastic outer sleeve in a card record mailer with extra stiffener.
I love music and have been buying and selling records, memorabilia and music related items for many years. Please check my feedback and buy with confidence.
