Here on offer is from my personal collection, purchased from new 41 years ago, and initially only ever played three or four times , then recorded to tape and then stored in a case with the vinyls seperated from the sleeves for protection, this is how I have always stored my records!! . A seriously rare very early 1st issue\1st UK pressing of the tripple lp boxed set 'All Things Must Pass',, seriously rare, being probably one of the first few hundred initial issues of this set in the UK, and complete in this absolutely awesome top condition!!! I will explain this further, later on in this description. I thought that it would be apt to list this set, because it is soon to become the  9th annaversary of George Harrisons death on 29 november 2001!!  George Harrison was in my opinion one of the most underated and competant musicians that came from the late fab four 'The Beatles'!!

Unique features only found like this on the initial,earliest 1st issues........

Only the earliest\ first initial sets have the original seperate orange coloured cardboard peice\ insert, at the bottom of the box, and amaizingly still retains its original colour from new, (see photos) later issues did not feature this they were just coloured orange on the inside of the box!

 Secondly the record sleeves are the 1st issue textured inners also inside and out with the same colours (only 1st issues) Later issues feature white on the insides!

Thirdly, The large 1st issue poster is semi glossy and features 'Made In England' at the bottom far right corner! Later issues feature the poster smoothe with glossy finish without made in England featured!!

Fourthly, The vinyls are pressed from the earliest possibly masters! -1u Matrix ending on all six sides! (later press do not feature this)

Unbeleivably rare to find in this condition, The box itself has no splits or tares or nasty writing, very near as perfect on initial inspection!! The original thick and chunky vinyls look and most importantly, sound absolutely stunning, like new! All six sides play as new on my systems, having no more than four or five of plays by me, from new!! The audio on all six sides, is graded near mint, plays as good as it possibly gets in my opinion! Complete with the original 1st issue large poster, never been put on the wall in awesome top, top condition!!

Never need to upgrade from this set, very very rare,collectable and sought after, totally complete and original!!!

All Things Must Pass is a triple album by George Harrison, recorded and released after the break-up of The Beatles. The first triple album by a solo artist, the original vinyl release featured two LPs of rock songs, while the third LP, titled "Apple Jam", was composed of informal jams led by Harrison with musician friends and famous musicians!!.

It was eventually certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA making it the highest selling of any Beatle solo album!!!.

The outpouring of the wealth of material on All Things Must Pass took many critics by surprise, with Harrison having long been overshadowed by the talents of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, despite the fact that some of his later period Beatles inclusions ("While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Something", and "Here Comes the Sun") were hailed as highlights of their respective albums. Consequently, as Harrison had only been allowed a few songs on any given Beatles album, he had amassed many otherwise unused compositions by the time of their break-up, enabling him to release many of them on All Things Must Pass!!.

Harrison had been accumulating the songs he recorded for the album as far back as 1966; both "The Art of Dying" and "Isn't It a Pity" date from that year. In bootlegged conversation from the Get Back sessions, Harrison revealed that John had rejected "Isn't It a Pity" three years before, and that he (Harrison) had considered offering the song to Frank Sinatra. Harrison picked up several more songs in late 1968 while visiting Bob Dylan and The Band in Woodstock, New York. He and Dylan co-wrote "I'd Have You Anytime" and "Nowhere to Go" (also known as "When Everybody Comes to Town") at this time, and Dylan showed him "I Don't Want to Do It". All three songs were attempted at some point in the sessions for All Things Must Pass, but only "I'd Have You Anytime" made the album!!!.

The January 1969 Get Back sessions saw early appearances of several other songs that would be considered for All Things Must Pass, including the title track, "Hear Me Lord", "Isn't It a Pity", "Let It Down", and "Window, Window", but nothing came of them at the time. The tense atmosphere fueled another song, "Wah-Wah", which Harrison wrote in the wake of his temporary departure from the band. He began writing "My Sweet Lord" while touring with Delaney & Bonnie in late 1969, and would later utilise their backing group "Friends" as an important part of the All Things Must Pass sound. He made one last detour before beginning work on All Things Must Pass, visiting Dylan while the latter was starting sessions for New Morning in May 1970, learning "If Not For You" and participating in a now-bootlegged session!!!

Recorded from May to August 1970 at Abbey Road Studios, and then further recording and mixing at Trident Studios from August to September 1970, Harrison enlisted the aid of Phil Spector to co-produce the album, giving All Things Must Pass a heavy and reverb-oriented sound, typical for a 1960s/1970s Spector production — but a sound Harrison would subsequently regret with the passage of time. In the electronic press kit that accompanies the 30th Anniversary reissue George is asked what he thinks of the album now thirty years later and he says, "...too much echo."

In late May 1970, before recording the album, Harrison sat in a studio with Spector and ran through fifteen songs on guitar, with occasional support from an unknown bass player. These demos (eventually bootlegged as Beware of ABKCO! due to an altered line in his performance of "Beware of Darkness") showed him in the process of weighing his material, as eight of the songs would be either substantially reworked or not appear on the finished album. Among these early outtakes, three have been officially released in one form or another: "Everybody, Nobody" was an early version of "The Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp", "Beautiful Girl" would be finished for Thirty Three & 1/3, and "I Don't Want to Do It" would wait fifteen years until being revisited for the soundtrack of Porky's Revenge. Five other songs, "Cosmic Empire", "Mother Divine", "Nowhere to Go", "Tell Me What Has Happened With You", and "Window, Window", have not seen official release., along with other tracks such as "Gopala Krishna" and "Dehradun" that did not make the final cut. Two demos of songs that did make the album, "Beware of Darkness" and "Let It Down" (with overdubs from 2000), would eventually be released on the remastered All Things Must Pass. Full discs of electric outtakes from the recording sessions would also leak on bootlegs in later years, and some of those tracks were also included in the remaster. Multiple takes of songs from the album appear on a bootleg three-disc box set The Making of All Things Must Pass along with other releases!!!.

The album features the talents of Ringo Starr, members of Badfinger, Eric Clapton and the other members of Derek and the Dominos, future Yes drummer Alan White, keyboard players Billy Preston, Gary Brooker and Gary Wright, and Pete Drake on steel guitar. A young, pre-Genesis Phil Collins played bongos on "Art of Dying", but was not credited on the original release (this was fixed on the 2001 remaster). Bob Dylan, a close friend of Harrison, co-wrote "I'd Have You Anytime" with him, while Harrison covered Dylan's "If Not For You", which had been recently released on Dylan's New Morning album. Alan White stated that John Lennon may have played on "If Not For You". Though uncredited, Maurice Gibb was also present in the recording session having been friends with Ringo Starr, and played keyboards on "Isn't It a Pity", though there is no definitive evidence as to which version!!!

Ther Vinyl's

All three vinyls look awesome in my opinion almost like new! Thick and chunky, earliest vinyl!   !! Unbeleivable for the earliest ever pressing 41 years old like this! !  On inspection I can hardly see a blemish at all! Any marks that could possibly be seen under a strong light would be light whypsy sleeve removal marks\scuffs only!! Please note! THERE ARE (NO) NEEDLE SCRATCHES OR ANY AUDIO SOUNDING MARKS AT ALL!!, None that cause any clicks or pops during the audio!! !

The Audio Quality

I have played all six sides,  prior to listing on a top system at very loud volume! Firstly I must say that every side produces the same awesome top quality audio throughout, only found like this on the earliest pressings! I heard (no) clicks or pops throughout the play of this album and certainly (no) distortion what so ever! The audio is absolutely cristal clear and vibrant throughout! I can honestly say that there is no other format in my opinion that will produce the awesome audio experiance that these 1st UK pressings produce! Later pressings that I have heard produce a very incipede type of feel lacking in the rich bassey feel that this produces also the rich, sharp percussion that comes across straight away as soon as the needle is put on the vinyl. I would give this album a top grade for the audio quality. I would class myself as highly critical when it comes down to the audio quality, Please look at my completed listings that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normally get it right!!!! The audio is graded at the top on all frequencies!!! As good as it gets in my personal opinion!! Audio is graded as near mint through out!!

Please note! I alays add this disclaimer! Please allow the the odd light static that may be heard in some quiet places, (not consistant throughout the audio) Please remember that this is a genuine 41 year old album that would have originally been played on a 41 year old system! Audio is graded at the top on all frequencies, plays as new on my systems!! 

The Labels

 These are the original 1st issue Apple labels that carry the original UK catalogue numbers ''STCH..'' and the 'YEX 817 through to 822 matrix on the labels (only UK press) Also features 'Mfd in the UK'' on the labels (only UK press)  (LATER PRESSINGS ARE MUCH FLIMSIER AND LESS ROBUST) Minimal spidering can possibly be seen angled to the light, this has barely been played at all,perhapes onl four or five times only, any spider marks if any can be counted on one hand on all four sides there is little if (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round! There is no stains or nasty writing!

The record sleeves

These are the original 1st issue thick heavy type and 'textured' (only 1st press)!  Important note! Only limited earliest issues have the same colour on the insides as well as on the the outsides!  (Later press do not have this, they have white on the inside)   These are in great shape minor ware at the edges becoming fragile with age only!  The vinyls are always stored seperate from these sleeves! 

The Cover

This is the original 1st press box with original two tone pasted picture on the top in superbe very clean condition!       Very rare, the inside featureing the original orange cardboard insert only issued on the first initial issues,  (later press do not have this insert) retaining its bright orange color from new, also the original track listings and credits on the inside are perfect!  Any staining on this box is minimal and barely noticable indeed! Important, (no) splits or tares very very rare! This must grade at least excellent plus in  my opinion!! You would find it hard to find a better 1st issue box like this!!

The Poster

This is the original and genuine large 1st issue poster! Features the semi glossy appearence (only 1st issue) seen (later issues are smooth and glossy) This also features ''Made in GT Britain'' in the bottom right hand corner (later press do not feature this, they either feature Made in US or do not have text) This poster has never been put on a wall and has rarely ever been opened!! (see photos)
