Description
HANS DULFER and RITMO NATUREL featuring JAN AKKERMAN: LP “THE MORNING AFTER THE THIRD” (Catfish 5C054-24181). This is a monster rare original 1970 Dutch album by one of Holland’s finest jazz saxophonists Hans Dulfer. It has all the ingredients of a jazz classic: The groovy, almost latin backing, the fluid Akkerman guitar soloing, and the ‘peep-honk’ free-jazz improvised sax playing by Dulfer. Very groovy, very experimental. This is one of the hardest to find jazz albums in Holland. Condition of the sleeve is VG, there’s a small tear on the front (see scan) and there’s a touch of wear on the back sleeve, no writing or other damage, so all in all a very nice condition. The disc is in EX condition with only a few very very superficial scuffs which do not affect playing. Personnel on this LP: Hans Dulfer (tenor sax), Jan Akkerman (guitar), Jan Jacobs (bass), Arjen Gorter (bass), Steve Boston (conga drums, timbales), John Grunberg (timbales, guiro, trombone), Appie De Hond (drums, timbales, vibraslap), Paul Van Wageningen (drums). Tracks on this LP are: The morning after the third, Señor Steve, Dit is het begin, Between the devil and the blue horizon, Green mountain. Postage for buyer.
