HANK WILLIAMS :
" THE LATE Hank Williams, M-G-M Records' great singer of American music and "country" songs, was born on a farm near Georgiana, Alabama, on September 17th, 1923. He began singing—not for himself, but for anyone who would listen—when he was just a little mite of a shaver. And soon he found his way into the choir of the church where his mother played the organ. Like many typically American farm boys Hank grew up to the strains of the strong yet tender and reverent hymns that the deeply religious folk of America love so much. He learned that the melody, while very important, was secondary to words which packed deep meaning. It was then that he learned to put both his mind and his heart into his singing, and that singing needed dramatic force as well as a pleasant voice.
Hank Williams died on New Year's Day in 1953, en route from his home in Nashville to making a public appearance. " .... SLEEVE NOTES

The singles / EP's we are now listing are all from 1 collection. Some have been played, by a fastidious collector, but because they have been stored in poly liners / inside their original sleeves, inside another outer bag/sleeve, for the last 40+ years, they are still in amazing condition for their vintage.
