Description
HANK MOBLEY Mobley's Message RVG is hand etched, with machine-stamped "A"
b/w "B" next to his initials in the dead-wax, see photos;
Dead-wax matrix numbers are etched. Mastered and recorded by the legendary Rudy Van Gelder! clean labels with deep groove;
Jacket has 447 West 50th St., N. Y. 19, N. Y.
address on the back and 446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C. on the labels;
PRESTIGE LP 7061 the Vinyl is VISUALLY Graded only: both sides look VG++ overall. There's a minor surface scuff across the first half of A-1, Bouncing with Bud, that is not really audible during our spot-check; We spot-checked the intros and each side overall is very quiet, with tremendous bass and crisp highs. Strong VG+ jacket with minor musty odor, but no overt damage, no mildew, no staining on the front. Back side has minor humidity staining,
especially in the lower-left corner. Corner-points have minor wear; Front really looks great otherwise,
with only minor upper-right corner wear, minor shelf-wear, and minor lower spine wear;
BUT there's still a nice thick semi-glossy lamination;
The spine and seams are intact. Original wax paper innersleeve has splitting and creasing, but is included. The vinyl will be inside a poly-lined sleeve and separated from the jacket to avoid seam-splitting;
