A quick note: I’ve just started this eBay username to try to separate out my main business - Vinyl Records - from the other items I'm selling. While this username is new and has little feedback, I’ve been on eBay for 18 years and I invite you to check my feedback under username webvinyl. Thanks!

DESCRIPTION
The Hal Otis Quintet with Bea Abbott - “Out Of Nowhere” - Westminster Records WP 6072 (Mono) from 1957? Hard to find Original Deep Groove Mono issue of this Great Jazz Violin Album from The Hal Otis Quintet featuring Joe Vito, Nicke Andante, Lennie Miller and Johnnie Gray. On four number the Quintet is accompanied by Bea Abbott on Vocals. The Otis Quintet also backed the sultry Miss Abbott on her Westminster solo album from the same year. On the Original Purple with Silver Print Westminster Deep Groove Label. Big Sticker across the front reading “The Hottest Fiddle Ever!”. and a great Sexy Cheesecake Cover photo (which I think is actually Miss Abbott?). To the best of my knowledge this album has never been reissued in any form in the U.S. and I don’t think on Vinyl anywhere. Very Hard to Find.

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is maybe just the slightest little touch of basic self wear but super minimal. There is the remnants of a piece of tape wrapped around the spine in the upper left corner. I think this probably was a cataloging sticker as there is no evidence that of the cover needing to be taped. Super clean and solid with no other writing, stains, tears, splits, cutouts, etc. and should rate as at least a strong EX if not better. The Vinyl itself is in Pristine, Glossy condition looking pretty close to New. If you really look closely you can spot a slight sleeve scuff or two but it’s in close to New condition looking like it could even be unplayed. Should easily rate Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
