Description

Guru Guru took a hard left turn into a freaky fusion rock here, a very distant sound from their earlier LP's. Somewhere between Zappa-esque yachtrock and funky latin spiced grooves, with a distinct mid-70s flavour. 'L Torro' and 'Nightbear' are possibly the most interesting tracks here, but the whole album probably pairs well with sunset cocktails, a harbour view, and Guru Guru on your Touchtunes. An original German Pressing on the gold brain center label. VG Gatefold sleeve has obvious waving and some lamination lift, but no other bends, tears, or splits. Vinyl is easily EX with only a few lines and signs of careful use. Check all the photos. With many lineup changes in early 70s and somehow being compelled to go into this coked-up Jazzrock direction, it sounds like Guru Guru had all the ingredients to score some timeless FM rock hits. However, being signed to Brain Records, that was just not going to happen.
