Guns N Roses – Appetite For Destruction LP w/ Inner [1st US Press] CHECK DESCRIP

36

I originally bought this record sealed (see last photo—the shrink was tightly wrapped at the opening). Unfortunately, the seller shipped it poorly, and the seal broke during transit. When I opened it, the vinyl was badly warped. I had it professionally flattened, which helped a lot, but there are still some issues. Because of that, I playtested the entire record—full details below. Vinyl is Sold as-is!

Vinyl Grade: Originally sealed and still looks mint. Most of the album plays beautifully with clear, clean sound. Due to a warp, there’s some skipping on the first track of Side 1. Side 2 played without skips when using a heavier tracking force. There's also a light swooshing sound between tracks, but not during the music itself. Playback on the songs is overall strong. Check below for more thorough descprition of the pros and cons

[On Side 1, the first track skipped quite a bit at the start when I first played it. I tried again using a heavier tracking force (3g), and while it still skipped a bit during the intro, it stopped before the first verse and played smoothly from there. Track 2 played perfectly with clean sound, and the rest of Side 1 played great as well.

On Side 2, using the heavier weight helped—there was no skipping during playback. So overall, it seems the record can play well, but a heavier tracking force is likely needed to minimize any skipping

On both sides, there's a light swooshing sound caused by the warp, but it only happens during the in-between parts of songs. On Side 1, I heard it briefly after Track 1 ended, and it faded once Track 2 began. The same thing happened between Tracks 2 and 3. Between Tracks 3 and 4, the sound was much lighter. Between Tracks 4 and 5, it's there too, but very faint. Side 2 is similar, with the swoosh is more noticeable between the earlier tracks and then gets quieter with each transition as the side progresses.]

Cover Grade:  NM

GRADING SCALE:

SEALED / MINT - Record jacket is sealed. Disc is sold ?as-is.?

NM - Super clean record with basically no imperfections. Appears unplayed or barely played at all. I’d use this rating infrequently

EX - Basically either spotless visually or sounds extremely clean.

VG++ - Has extremely few light marks. Very clean

VG+ - Has some imperfections, such as hairlines or scuff, but looks clean and should play well

VG - Similar to VG+ but has more imperfections. Records VG and up will not typically have any scratches deep enough to be felt.

VG- - Fair amount of imperfections or scratches that may affect playability.

VG-- - Plethora of scratches scattered throughout. Literally scratches/hairlines everywhere.

G - Imperfections and scratches throughout including scratches that cause playback issues and can be felt.

*These records are visually graded but I do at times give a quick listen to the record so that I can give you an idea of the item you are receiving. If I mention the sound quality of the record, just know I DID NOT listen to the whole record, I only listened to small parts of it. If I listened to the whole record, I will say so in the description.

**I dont grade records considering the spindle marks. I might not even mention it but if it catches my eye I will mention so. If that is an issue for you, ask ahead of time.
