Description

# Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction (Original 1987 Banned Sleeve LP)

**Label:** Geffen Records — Catalog Numbers: WX 125 / 924 148-1
**Sleeve Grade:** Very Good+ (VG+) - Strong structural shape, shelf wear to edges & spine, solid artwork panel. Houses a replacement generic protective inner sleeve.
**Vinyl Grade:** Very Good (VG) - Multiple light superficial hairlines and paper scuffs under light. Labels are clean.

Up for grabs is an original 1987 UK/EU first pressing of Guns N' Roses' seismic debut album featuring the famously withdrawn Robert Williams "robot rape" artwork cover. This controversial sleeve was banned shortly after launch, making original copies a must-have cornerstone for any rock collection.

### Important Collector Note:
Please note this copy includes the original banned outer jacket and authentic German Alsdorf-pressed vinyl disc, but is missing the original printed lyric inner sleeve. It is housed safely in a clean, replacement protective inner sleeve. Priced accordingly!

### Verified Matrix / Runout Identifiers:
* **Side G (Side 1):** R/S Alsdorf 924148-1-A
* **Side R (Side 2):** R/S Alsdorf 924148-1-B
* **Pressing Plant:** Record Service Alsdorf

The vinyl has been visually graded under strong direct light. It shows honest signs of handling with minor surface marks and paper hairlines, but no deep gouges that will derail a needle. The iconic jacket has some expected age wear along the seams but no ink writing, stickers, or major seam splits.

*Buy with absolute confidence. Ships securely packaged inside a stiff, professional cardboard vinyl record mailer to protect the vintage sleeve during transit.*v
