At the time of this writing, the Seller had additional titles by this artist for sale on Ebay.  The Seller is the Original Owner and received this LP as a promotional copy from the label at the time of its release. 

The discs were visually inspected and appear to be in NM condition.  The gatefold cover is in VG+ condition, with minimal shelf wear.  It has a gold promo stamp on the rear cover, a clipped corner, and a hype sticker on the front.  It has the original custom inner sleeves that features photos and credits.  They each have one clipped corner, but no seam splits.  Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  Dead Set is a live album by the Grateful Dead. It was released in August 1981 on Arista.

The 1981 album contains live material recorded between September and October 1980 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and Radio City Music Hall in New York. Original CD pressings omitted the track "Space" so the entire album could fit on one CD. However, "Space" was included when the album was later rereleased as part of the 2004 Beyond Description box set, as well as on one CD in 2006. The 2006 release also included a bonus CD of live material.

Dead Set is essentially a companion release to Reckoning, a 1981 release of songs featuring acoustic instruments. Both albums were recorded at the same runs of concerts. Due to the length of the Dead's songs, several tracks from Dead Set were edited for release on vinyl, and the edited versions have been retained on CD reissues.

The album's cover features an Uncle Sam skeleton perched on the Marin Headlands looking at the view of San Francisco, with a striking twilight sky reflecting off the bay. The back cover of the original gatefold album has a similar image, except that it shows a view of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. The collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983, 39 years!  Please check back occasionally to see my new listings. I add approx. 25–50 new LPs per week.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

 VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30. Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping could occur if vinyl records are exposed to heat and direct sunlight, so please make adequate arrangements to safely receive your packages.  If Buyer prefers a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
