Description

This is the original mono Van Gelder-stamped “P”-pressing of Grant Green “The Latin Bit” on the “New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4111. BLP 4111 was never pressed with a deep-groove. The playing surface has two marks on Side 1: the first, on Track 1, has four light tics; the second, on Track 2, has two tics; otherwise, the record is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover has the “West 61st St., New York 23” address; sharp corner and perfect seams; light foxing on the back slick. Original Blue Note inner sleeve included. Personnel include Wendell Marshall, Willie Bobo, and Potato Valdez.
