Description
Blue Note 4177, mono with New York USA on both labels; 43 West 61st St. address on the bottom of the back cover. The record has "van gelder" inscribed in the dead was, no "ear". 4 tracks with leader, Moncur, trombone; Wayne Shorter, tenor sax; Herbie Hancock, piano; Cecil McBee, bass; Tony Williams, drums. Original inner sleeve included.
Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean. Bump/crease on the upper corner at the insert edge. This reveals and approximate 1/2" split. The balance of the cover is like new. No aging.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. Except for a rare, very light and very infrequent static-like short interval of groove noise. This described noise is slight. There is a short interval toward the end of Track 2, Side 2. The sound level is so low that, in my opinion, it is questionable that it even exists. The overall sound is fine but I have added the (-) to the rating if, in fact, there is a small amount of surface noise. I would consider the sound as close to Mint. Audibly checked.
