ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS AUCTION WILL GO TO HELP GOVERNMENT ISSUE SINGER JOHN STABB PAY HIS MEDICAL BILLS, AS HE WAS THE VICTIM OF A SENSELESS BEATING LAST YEAR. This is a very rare, mint condition test pressing for the "Joy Ride" LP by Government Issue (G.I.s). Fountain of Youth Records, FOY 009, Washington, DC, 1984. Songs include: "Blending In", "Understand", "4-Wall Hermit", "Familiar", "Time to Escape", "Joyride", "Hall of Fame", "Notch to My Crotch", "Reflection", "These Boots are Made for Walkin'", "Sheer Terror." Lineup: John Stabb - vocals / Tom Lyle - guitar / Mike Fellows - bass / Marc Alberstadt - drums. Recording Info: Recorded at Black Pond Jan. and Mar., 1984 by Tom Scott. Produced by Tom Lyle, Brian Baker, and Tom Scott .........DESCRIPTION: This test pressing was intended for band members, radio stations and fanzines. I do not know how many test pressings were made. Vinyl record has "Hub-Servall Record Mfg. Corp. Test Pressing" labels, with "©1984 Fountain of Youth Records" handwritten in red magic marker. It is in original plastic-lined paper sleeve from pressing plant, which, in turn, is inside nice white cardboard disco sleeve....... CONDITION/PROVENANCE: Record is in mint condition, and I don't think it has never been played. It comes from the punk archives of Jeff Nelson (Minor Threat/Dischord), which are being downsized after having been described as "too big" and "insane." Ohio Residents add 7% Sales Tax to item total (not shipping) ...... SHIPPING: This is a pretty rare record, and I want it to arrive safely at your door, so I will package it carefully. If record sells for under $200.00, I will pack it very carefully in a standard LP mailer, beefed up with extra cardboard, and Priority Mail/Delivery Confirmation/Insurance within USA will be $7.50. If record sells for MORE than $200.00, however, I will pack record within 2 boxes, and as a result it will weigh more, and Priority Mail/Delivery Confirmation/Insurance will be $10.00 within the USA. (Postage and the two cardboard boxes will actually cost me in excess of $17.00, but I will charge you only $10.00).......
