Description
The God Machine: ‘Scenes from the Second Storey’ very hard to find UK double LP from 1992 on Fiction (fixh 23). 13-tracks over 2 slabs of vinyl, each of which plays at 33rpm. The records come in a full-colour glossy-finish p/s made of heavy-duty card, and are each individually housed in a matt-finish b/w paper inner sleeve. Each inner sleeve features photos and the lyrics to the tracks on the corresponding record within. To make this particular copy that bit more unusual, there is a 2”x1½” b/w sticker on one of the labels of each LP which states ‘promo copy.’ Tracks are as follows: A: Dream Machine / She Said / The Blind Man / I’ve Seen the Man. B: The Desert Song / Home / It’s All Over / Temptation. C: Out / Ego / Seven. D: Purity / The Piano Song. Anyone familiar with this band will know what a truly amazing album this is – epic, textured, intense. This is the debut release from this erstwhile band who are only now beginning to gain the recognition they deserve. Awesome stuff. The Outer cover is EX- (slightest scuffing on corners.) Inner sleeves are EX- (likewise). Both pieces of vinyl are truly EX. We DO grade conservatively: this is an amazing record in amazing condition. Postage is a little higher than we usually charge, but remember, this item is heavy! Bidding starts low, and there’s no reserve – but remember, you won’t see many of these around.
