Item Description:
Prestige Records PRLP 7040 (mono) (made in USA) - Gil Melle Quartet Plays Primitive Modern LP released in 1956. This is an original first pressing with "deep groove" labels. The address on the labels is "Prestige Records Inc. 446 W. 50th St., N. Y. C. ". "RVG" is etched in the dead wax on both sides of the record, Rudy Van Gelder recorded the record.
Personnel and song selections are on labels (see scans).
The condition of the record is VG+, plays VG++. The laminated cover is in VG- condition, the top seam is split for 4 inches from the open edge, the laminate is peeling at the open edge and at the spine; the spine is abraded on the upper portion. The cover is somewhat bent.
