Description

This is it: the legendary, some would say notorious, 2nd Germs 7" 45, Lexicon Devil!!!

This is the 45 that really brought the Germs out of the "joke band" category and made people realize they were a force to be reckened with.

Quite simply, this is one of the best California/LA Punk 45's ever released, and is way way up there among any punk 45 ever released. One of a handful of my favorite records, punk or otherwise, ever.

This is a 1st pressing on Slash Records, record number SCAM 101. It comes in a yellow two sided, folded sleeve, with the cover artwork on one side, and with the lyrics printed on the reverse side.

Tracks  Side A: Lexicon Devil   Side B: No God, Circle One

The music on this records kills; very intense, proto hardcore punk rock, with great lyrics to boot. Their dismantling of the band Yes in the beginning of the song No God of the second side is funny and devastating!

Really, I can't say enough about how great I think this record was. Absolutely a must have for any collector of California/LA punk, or punk rock in general.

The yellow colored, folded paper sleeve is in VG to VG+ condition. It has some creasing on the edges, a couple dings on the edges, but nothing I would call a tear of the rather fragile paper sleeve. No staining or fading. It has been kept in an outer plastic sleeve the whole time I have owned it.

The vinyl is also in VG to VG+ condition. I have definitely played this more than a few times over the years, but it has no skips, no pops or other extraneous noise.  There is one very light, almost imperceptible scratch on the vinyl at the very beginning of the song Circle One, that has absolutely no effect on the sound quality of the record.

Please, do not bid if you do not have any feedback as a buyer, or if you do not have a good track record with Ebay.

If you are the winning bidder for this fine piece of vinyl, please pay, via PayPal, within three (3) days of the end of the auction. If you are an international buyer, do not pay until I have sent you an invoice, so I can make sure the invoice has the correct shipping charges for where you live.

I do have a $4.50 handling charge to partially cover my costs for insurance and for the packaging materials I use (a strong cardboard box, and 4 sheets of foamboard inside to additionally protect your record), and you are responsible for shipping charges.

If you live within the U.S. I will ship your record, within three (3) business after you have paid. I will ship your purchase via USPS Priority Mail.

If you are an International buyer, I will ship your purchase via USPS Express Mail International. If you do not want me to declare the full price of your purchase so you can avoid high customs duties, I will only be responsible for the amount you want me to declare for customs purposes if your purchase gets damaged, lost or stolen.

If you have any question during, or after, the auction, please do not hesitate to send me a message, and I will answer you as quickly as I can.
