Live and Let Die is a 1973 British spy film, the eighth in the James Bond series to be produced by Eon Productions, and the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, it was the third of four Bond films to be directed by Guy Hamilton. Although the producers had wanted Sean Connery to return after his role in the previous Bond film Diamonds Are Forever, he declined, sparking a search for a new actor to play James Bond. Moore was signed for the lead role.
John Barry, who had worked on the previous five themes and orchestrated the "James Bond Theme", was unavailable during production. Broccoli and Saltzman instead asked Paul McCartney to write the theme song. Since McCartney's salary was high and another composer could not be hired with the remainder of the music budget, George Martin, who had been McCartney's producer while with The Beatles, was chosen to write the score for the film."Live and Let Die", written by McCartney along with his wife Linda and performed by their group Wings, was the first true rock and roll song used to open a Bond film, and became a major success in the UK (where it reached number nine in the charts) and the US (where it reached number 2, for three weeks). It was nominated for an Academy Award but lost to "The Way We Were". Producers hired B. J. Arnau to record and perform the title song, not realising McCartney intended to perform it himself. Arnau's version was featured in the film itself, when the singer performed it in a night club which Bond attends.

Each month I will have around 200 albums delivered to me, which I will then sort through, catalogue, clean, grade then list. I will make every effort to ensure that the information I supply for each listing is 100% correct, and that any anomalies are highlighted. I use a combination of 5 different web sites to ensure the the information I supply in the listing is as accurate as possible, so please forgive any incorrect details. I do perform my due diligence, I ask that you do the same. All this work is being done outside of 'normal' office hours. The current listings are obviously from my first delivery. Genres will vary from month to month, so be sure to keep checking the site for new gems.

I am very pedantic and I assess/grade the vinyl (& sleeve) from a buyers perspective. I call it as I see it, but will err on the side of caution. Current market trends, sales history of album/pressing, condition of item and availability within the market place, are all factors which are considered prior to pricing every album. I won't waste my time or yours with any intentional misleading information. Please use the supplied photos to make an informed opinion for yourself. I understand that everyone has their own preferred method of cleaning vinyl, so I will hand clean each album and then supply a new inner and outer protective sleeve, prior to it's journey to you.
