Description

This is my last collection of GEORGEHARRISON’s  post Apple singles together with a couple of albums whichhe has contributed tracks to. I think the main interest in this lot is hissingles. Some of these are brilliant and should have done much better. Anyway,here they are:
 

  • "THIS SONG" b/w "Learning How to Love You"  George’s 8th  solo single released in 1976 in a Dark Horse sleeve – Dark Horse K16856 -  didn’t chart in the UK.
  • "TRUE LOVE" b/w "Pure Smokey" –single released in 1977 Dark Horse K16896 - didn’t chart in the UK.
  • "IT’S WHAT YOU VALUE" b/w "Woman Don’t You Cry For Me" -  released in 1977 Dark Horse K16967 - didn’t chart in the UK.

·        "BLOW AWAY" b/w "Soft Touch" - released in 1979 Picture sleeve Dark Horse K17327 reached  #51 in the UK charts.

  • "LOVE COMES TO EVERYONE" b/w "Soft-Hearted Hana"  standard WEA sleeve   - released 1979 – Dark Horse K 17284  - didn’t chart in the UK.
  • "ALL THOSE YEARS AGO " b/w "Writing’s On The Wall" - picture sleeve released in 1981  Dark Horse K17807 –reached #13 in the UK charts  
  • "TEARDROPS" b/w "Save The World" picture sleeve released in 1981 Dark Horse K17837 - didn’t chart in the UK.
  • "WAKE UP MY LOVE" b/w "Greece " - Dark Horse 929864-7 – standard black sleeve with white stripes and the wording ‘7” single’ - didn’t chart in the UK.
  • "PORKY’S REVENGE" Original Soundtrack CBS 70265 – released in 1985 – various artists including Jeff Beck, Dave Edmunds Carl Perkins – George contributes “I DON’T WANT TO DO IT” written by Bob Dylan. 
  • "GREENPEACE" – various artist compilation to raise money for Greenpeace released in 1985. This is a Japanese pressing of the album on Victor 28103 (identical to the UK release). Amongst those contributing are Peter Gabriel, Queen, Kate Bush Heaven 17 etc – George contributes “SAVE THE WORLD”.

Some of thesingles have been played and some haven’t so I would give them an overall vinylgrading of excellent  The picture sleevesare excellent but the other sleeves show some sign of wear.

Porky’sRevenge has been played a couple of times but is in VG++ condition.

Greenpeacehas been played a couple of time and is in excellent condition. However thealbum sleeve front is slightly parting company with its back. The albumcontains the original subscription insert.
