George Harrison All Things Must Pass
Vinyl LP Box Set Apple STCH639
Ultra rare super early 1G uk pressing that has the orange card insert as the bottom of the box this was dropped for a printed box inner base. As far as im aware the story is the orange insert was used to reduce the free space redicing rattle in the box and colouring the box bottom at the same time. This also has a leather look texture to the outter box bottom. Both these features were droped after a test run to keep down costs and not many were sold making this super rare. However Ive been lucky enough to get a better condition upgrader copy for my collection so am letting this one go. I would be interested if anyone has more info on this varient as info on it seem scarce please feel free to message me.
Condition is not the best i would say its avaerage but worth having as its rare varrient packafing and 1g press make it a collectors item.
I will break it down bit by bit.

Box
Box lid has seperated from base taking some finish off see picture. Box lid is split on 3 side and has a split half way up on side. Cover is genraly very nice see picture. Inner print is nice and clean.
Orange insert is very good.
Box base is split on 2 corners and one side. With general ware to base see pictures.

Poster is missing.

Inners.
All 3 inners have split and have tape residue rwcord have been moved in to new white inners to prvent further splittin as these inners are rare and the print is nice on them.

Vinyl.
Vinyl has light marks needle the odd needle scratch thumb scratches i would rate as vg- overall musch better than good and all sides play through to the end usual crakle and pop you would associate with this gradeing.

The 1G mother make this one of the first ever pressed which fits in with the early dropped for cost saving packaging varriation. Ive been looking and only every seen 2 others like this one i own and the other was near mint and £500 ten years ago. Once again if anyone has any more info on this pressing id love to hear from you.
