GEORGE HARRISON - 'ALL THINGS MUST PASS'
This superb, 100% complete UK 1st pressing of George's magnificent 3-LP box set dates from initial in November 1970 release on custom Apple Records labels: STCH 639
Matrix numbers: Disc 1: YEX 817-1U/818-1U. Disc 2: YEX 819-1U/820-1U. Disc 3: YEX 821-1U/822-1U
Stamper codes: Disc 1: 3/GRP, 3/TH. Disc 2: 2/GRD, 2/GGA Disc 3: 2/TO, 1/TR
Vinyl weight: 149g, 147g & 133g
The set is housed within a 19mm deep box which was 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN' which has stitched inner seams.
The inside of the lower tray is white and contains a plain piece of white corrugated cardboard to hold the contents securely inside. Later boxes were shallower in depth.
The large factory-folded poster of George is present and was also 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN'.
The discs are housed with three textured, coloured USA printed inner-sleeves (no UK inners were printed).

All labels are bright & unblemished with just a few extremely faint spindle marks to the side 1 centre hole, but none whatsoever on any of the others.
Visual: Disc 1: EXCELLENT Disc 2: NEAR MINT Disc 3: MINT
All playing surfaces are perfectly clean and retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines. Disc 1 bears a few light marks consistent with inner-sleeve with disc 2 bearing just a single light paper scuff mark on side 3. Disc 4 is pristine and totally unmarked. Each disc also lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This remarkable sounding set has clearly been barely played. Every track on each side plays cleanly and clearly with no deterioration to the sound quality anywhere. My single careful play-check found no evidence whatsoever of any groove/play wear on any track or in either channel. In fact, apart form a hint of background on the introduction to 'What Is Life' there is nothing to fault audibly on this outstanding sounding copy which will not disappoint.
Box: VERY GOOD +
A strong & fully intact example with some minor storage/age wear but no major faults throughout. The exposed front panel bears some age-related spots but no writing, missing paper or sticker-related damage. There is some light shelfwear to the lower edge but no splits to any corner of the lid or tray. The textured rear panel is clean and unworn with three small nicks on the lower edge but the spine is unworn and retains all of its gold coloured lettering. The inside is bright & clean with no marks or wear on either side and the factory cardboard insert is 100% original and 'as new'.
Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT
Each is perfectly clean & uncreased with just a faint disc impressions and the inevitable small lower and a single side seam split to each.
Poster: NEAR MINT
Unfolded a few times but never hung.
