Description

George Harrison All Things Must Pass 1970 Orig. Box Set 3xLP w/Poster VG-/VG-.

For auction is a good listeners copy of All Things Must Pass by George Harrison. This was the former Beatles third solo album, released in November 1970 as a triple LP Box Set. It was his first release after the breakup of the Beatles. The album was a commercial and critical success globally, peaking in the Top-10 in ten countries, 8 of which it reached #1, including the UK and US. Most of the tracks on the record are now considered classics although only three were released as singles. “My Sweat Lord” (#1), “Isn’t It A Pity (Version 1 & 2)” (#1) and “What Is Life” (#10) were all Top-10 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album was nominated for Album of the Year and “My Sweat Lord” was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards. Both lost to Carol King for the album Tapestry and the song, “It’s Too Late” respectively. In 2014, All Things Must Pass, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It has been included on many best of lists and is now considered a groundbreaking record. In 2020, it was ranked #368 on Rolling Stones list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album has sold 7 million copies in the US alone. This copy is a 1970 Scranton 1st Press with folding 90x60 cm poster. Excellent condition.

All three LPs are play graded VG-. Record 1 and 2 have many light visible surface marks and hairlines but nothing deep that can be felt. Both have a slight storage warp that does not affect playback. Both play with consistent mild background noise that is never overwhelming. Most apparent at the beginning of each side. No skips or jumps. Record 3 has some barely noticeable surface marks but a warp that affects the first note of the opening track of Side 5 with a short jump. Plays through and the rest of LP plays through with no other issues. Mild background noise at times. Would be VG if not for early hiccup. Please see pics.

Box Set cover is also in VG- condition. There are obvious signs of shelf wear. The title side is peeling as well as the back on the up right side. Some stains on front. Wear on corners. Still holds together well. Original inner sleeves with lyrics are included but the discs are stored in generic white die-cut ones. All have wear. Please see pics.

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!
