Description
The Best of Genesis
This is a genuinely RARE item, and I don’t use the word like many other descriptions, I use the word RARE because this item is seriously RARE.
If you are familiar with Peter Vickers’ excellent book ‘Genesis, the top 200 Worldwide Rarities’ you will find this item at number 76. I have only ever seen this record once on ebay.
THE BEST OF GENESIS is a Norwegian record (catalogue number Charisma 9299-707) and was produced in 1975. The track list is as follows:
SIDE 1
I Know What I Like In Your Wardrobe
Harold the Barrel
Harlequin
Watcher Of The Skies (*)
The Fountain Of Salmacis
SIDE 2
Supper’s Ready
(*) Watcher of the Skies is the single release version that is much shorter than the album version and has a different ending.
So what makes this record special? Well apart from the EXTREME RARITY it is the cover. It has a fantastic shot of the band performing live on the front and a rather psychadelic picture of the band on the back.
A truly RARE item and an absolute MUST HAVE for the serious Genesis collector.
Condition:
Sleeve: EXCELLENT (+). It is very clean and shiny. There is some very mild creasing at the corners and the slightest hint of ring wear on the back. The laminate is unbroken and it retains a lovely sheen.
Record: EXCELLENT (+). Plays beautifully. No noticeable marks on either side. A really shiny record. No spindle marks. The labels are in A1 condition.
This is a truly unique opportunity to buy a truly great album.
PLEASE NOTE: I ONLY accept PAYPAL please do not bid unless you are happy to pay using Paypal. Please read my feedback I think it says it all.
The record will be packed in a record mailer stiffened with card (possibly recycled).
Thanks for looking.
