This is extremely unusual....
A UK original, first pressing of the 'Selling England By The Pound' LP
Single, non-laminated sleeve with B&C Records credit to the rear. Most of these sleeves were made by EJ Day. This one is made by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd and has a 'proper' inside sleeve with printed lyrics on both sides, not the usual lyric insert. This inside sleeve is made of thick card and is dark green in colour with the lyrics printed in white.
Very few copies with an actual printed inner sleeve were made and this is very rare. I've never seen another one....
The outer sleeve is clean and straight and would have been graded near mint. It has a 1 inch tear to the opening edge however. Someone has tried to repair this short tear with 'sellotape' and this has left a residue which I have been unable to remove. This is a real shame, because this is the only damage or wear to be found.
The lyric inner sleeve is in perfect condition.
The record has A-1U / B-2U matrix numbers and has been played no more than two or three times since new. The labels are perfect / mint except for just two small, light spindle marks.
The vinyl is perfect / as new except for a few light surface marks caused by the thick card inner sleeve.
