Description

For sale is Genesis' Invisible Touch, originally released in 1986 by Atlantic Records with a special embossed cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers A-1/B-1, signifying that a first stamper was used for this first pressing, sought after by collectors and music lovers for its superior sound quality. After the matrix numbers are etched "Masterdisk" and "RL", which indicates that this album was mastered by Robert Ludwig at Masterdisk, N.Y.C. This facility is state-of-the-art and Bob is an engineering genius known for his superior mastering which produces detailed imaging and lush soundstages.  I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI machine and immediately put it away into a protective inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear that made an impression of the record, a tiny brown spot on the upper right hand corner and shelf wear along the edges. The spine is Near Mint. The vinyl is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is one of the best copies that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.  I have a lot more Rock records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look as they are almost  all Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.   I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
