Genesis Double Vinyl LP 'Swelled & Spent' Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Rare 1978 pressing
A rare opportunity to own probably the most famous Genesis 'unofficial' live recording. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway live from The Birmingham Hippodrome in 1975.
This recording has been released in many formats over the years. I personally purchased this copy back in 1978 from Subway Records in Southampton. I have never seen this particular copy advertised on ebay which is why I believe it to be so rare.
The artwork is actually printed onto the sleeve and is not a paper insert which was typical for so many types of these vinyl recordings in the past.
I have only ever played this a handful of times. The pleasure for me was in owning such a rarity as a teenager collecting everything I could from my favourite band of the 70's.
The vinyl itself is in excellent condition, the only thing that is less than A1 is the spine of the sleeve, the passing of time has left the cardboard paper covering a bit crinkled but in all other respects the whole package is in great condition (see photo).
I am 60 now and it's time for another Genesis fan to take pride in owning such a rare piece of the band's history.
