Description
This is a VG+ condition, very rare, white label LP test pressing Genesis "Abacab". It was manufactured by Quality Records Canada in 1981 for Warner Music Canada. Test pressings were made in advance of regular pressings for quality control purposes. They were very selectively distributed to record label V.I.P.s and the artist and their management for approval. Very few were produced and most copies were destroyed. They were never made available to the general public. The labels are white with the following printed on them: "Quality Records Limited Test Pressing". No other information has been filed in on the white labels. The record comes in a white cardboard die-cut jacket with "Genesis" written in blue ink on the top left hand corner. It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1981. This is an extremely rare Genesis item that belongs in any serious collection.
