For sale is the Very Rare CUSTOM LP "Road Of Life Without God" by Margie Nell and The Miracle Revival Singers on LeFevre Sound Records, catalog #MLSP 3530, no date listed. This obscurity isn't listed in Ken Scott's "Archivist" but it probably should in the next edition! This one is kind of hard to catagorize but no matter what style, it's a real gem. All original material with heavy organ, piano and drums with these four ladies earthy vocals push them towards a folk/black gospel (sort of)/garage sound. Vocal comparisonss to Emmylou Harris, Joan Baez and even Janny Grein might start to give an idea of what to expect. Margie also often uses spoken vocal passages coupled with her rich organ work sometimes giving them a Black Gospel sound. No matter what type of music you prefer, this one deserves a listen and is certainly a keeper for your collection. In fact, if we don't sell it, it just might stay in our collection! LP in excellent condition with very clean playing surface, sounds great with miniimal background noise.
