Album by this Folk band that features John Pearson and Eric Heywood, who penned most of the tracks, along with Eric Bottomley.  This is strictly a Folk album but some of the tracks are certainly in the realms of Acid / Psych Folk.  It is a really good album and really should deserve more attention, although that is a subjective opinion.  The record has been cleaned on a Pro-ject VCS MK2 cleaning machine.

CONDITION - VISUAL - Examined under a strong halogen lamp, the record just has the occasional very light and very small scratch plus the odd sleeve withdrawal mark. It also has a very decent gloss. A visual grade of Very Good +.

CONDITION - PLAYED - When played on a Pro-ject Debut III turntable (tone arm recently balanced and a relatively new stylus) it plays with just a hint of background surface noise although this is more noticeable on track 3 on side B.  There are also 3 quiet 'tics' at the start of track 1 side B and 1 'tic' on track 2 on the same side.  There is no apparent reason for these 'tics', even under the closest scrutiny.  The records does not skip or stick.  A play-grade of Very Good minus because of the 'tics' but I would otherwise grade it as EX minus for how the remainder of the record plays.
Both labels are clean and unmarked apart from light spindle trails.
The cover has some creasing, ringwear, some light staining and discolouration on the back.  There are no seam splits.

VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD
GRADING GUIDE - IMPORTANT!

I visually examine all records under a strong 35w halogen lamp, which shows up ALL defects. 

I strictly grade my records according to the Rare Record Price Guide (RRPG), which, to me, means as follows:

MINT- Must be sealed 
NEAR MINT - Totally unmarked, no scratches, not even faint 'hairlines' / sleeve withdrawal marks or any other signs of having been played.
EXCELLENT - No scratches, just signs of having been played, such as the odd faint 'hairline' sleeve withdrawal mark that is barely visible under a strong lamp, or spindle trails on the label.
VERY GOOD - The first mild scratches have begun to appear, but only very, very few.
GOOD - More scratches than Very Good and more severe, but I am confident that the record will play through without skips or sticking and will still provide a good listening experience.
FAIR - The record may not play through properly with a chance of it jumping and / or it will play with significant background noise.
POOR - It definitely won't play without skipping or sticking.

Below Near Mint I will use plus or minus with a grade to highlight fine differences.

COVER GRADES

My cover grades are EXACTLY as stated in Record Collector magazine / RRPG. Therefore, if a cover is defaced, stained or torn it CANNOT grade better than FAIR. Likewise, if any part of the contents are missing it CANNOT grade better than POOR.
