Description

This is an ultra rare live recording of the only time Peter Gabriel ever appeared on stage with Genesis since he left the band in 1975. The festival was a benefit for WOMAD, and was billed as the 'Six of the best' gig - Milton Keynes Bowl 2/10/82.

Those of you who were there (I was) will recall it chucked it down all day, yet over 60,000 people stayed to watch a spectacular show - complete with coffins, flower masks and " a young upcoming drummer called Phillip". When Steve Hackett joined for the encore of "I know what I like" and "the knife", it was the last time the original (and some would say best) line up appeared together.

This record is a TRIPLE album, recorded on multi-coloured vinyl, produced in the USA by Jessicarisma records. The condition is excellent and the inner sleeve is a collage of photographs from the gig.

Song listing is: Back in New York City, Selling England By the Pound (Dancing with the Moonlit Knight), Carpet Crawlers, Firth of Fifth, Musical Box, Solsbury Hill, Turn it on Again (Gabriel on Drums!!), Lamb lies down on Broadway, Fly on a Windshield, Broadway Melody of 1974, In the Cage, Supper's ready, I know What I Like and The Knife.

The live recording also includes the between song stories and chats amongst the band.

The record hasn't been played for 20 years, but has been stored carefully so there shouldn't be any scratches.

Turn down the lights, stand under the shower, and relive your youth.

I can post overseas - costs to be confirmed depending upon destination.
