It is well known that the so called open form ! in movement, or aleatoric. or momentary) is that particular type of composition that offers the interpreter the possibility to complete the missing parameteters with tree and momentary intervention. or to choose between the possible realizations in a « field of action. During the last 50 years, the musical system we adopt is no longer a mystery to anybody, every thing has been revealed and said by now. whether about the developments derived from the diatonic ana ch omatic scale, whether about the relationships between the tonal and pantonal worlds: also the diffuse way to-day of using instruments traumatically, that is violating the natural limits of same. for the production of sound - noises, will become commqn use. It may be added that with aleatoric music we arrive, through many polemics and reservations about its validity, to the decline of relationship between interpreter and composer, diminishing the latter of that rank o! subjectivity which had always been characteristic, giving the interpreter the task to be something more, that is, to be also composer. Thus it was necessary to take into account the lack of a performer with the greater comprehension necessary for the task he had to perform and which was required for this particular type of composition where the performer has to complete die schemes or some of the parameters of the work. It is important to call to mind Indian music, which is really, based on the performer, who is composer at the same time, where a singer, a shitra player, a tabla player, ecc. knows composition as well as the instrumental technique as this is improvised music. Looking then to future Development of this momentary form, it is necessary to say that up until now all the works have been the fruit of a composer and that this « open » form was in reality still « closed » to a still greater opening, where this future type of results in an internal and external tension of great sensitivity, and I think that this is the only magic still possible in the music of to-day, no longer written, and completely deprived of all myth in front of that personage once called author .
