Description

On offer is a 1968 LP by GROUNDHOGS called SCRATCHING THE SURFACE on LIBERTY, catalogue number LBS 83199E.

The debut album by the mighty Groundhogs is closest to their blues roots, with Tony McPhee sharing vocals with harmonica-man Steve Rye, and a mix of blues standards ('No More Doggin'') and originals in the blues idiom.

Obviously well loved in its time, the VINYL record is somewhere between VERY GOOD PLUS and EXCELLENT, with the odd pop and click, and noticeable crackle in the run-in and run-out grooves. Overall, the audio quality is acceptable, and there are no jumps.

The full LAMINATE SLEEVE is in very good plus condition, with moderate wear, some ringwear and mild creasing, but still somehow looks great. The Liberty labels (with Statue of Liberty logo) are nice and lea, and free of spindle-wear or writing.

To be shipped in the STRONGEST 625 MICRON BEST 12” BROWN BOARD MAILER COMPLETE WITH 2 STIFFENERS and high-grade plastic sleeve.
