GREGORY PECK HAND-SIGNED “TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD” SOUNDTRACK LP (E)!!
Gregory Peck played many great roles during his career, but he agreed “Atticus Finch” in 1962’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” was the greatest, gaining him a Best Actor Oscar in the process. Up for auction is the soundtrack LP issued on the Ava label in Excellent )E) condition, with the cover showing some minor aging from storage over the years. It was hand-signed by Mr. Peck in black Sharpie. This signing occurred over three decades after the movie and album’s release at a fund-raiser for the La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California where he was born and raised. After starting his career on the stage in New York in the late 30’s and then following that up with his screen debut in 1944’s “Days of Glory,” Peck with fellow actors Dorothy McGuire and Mel Ferrer founded the La Jolla Playhouse where they could exercise their love of stagecraft far from the glare and prying eyes of Hollywood.
