Description
If you're reading this listing, you know how rare this record is. This is an original pressing of Graven Image's legendary one-sided 12" ep, "People in Hell Want Ice Water." Tracks are: "No Rest" and "Warn the Children". Rockhaus Records released this obscure gem in 1984. Please do not confuse this with the less desirable picture disc or the modern repressing (titled "People in Hell STILL Want Ice Water").
I'll do my best to describe this record as accurately as possible but please see the large accompanying pictures as they will do a better job showing the condition. The cover shows moderate ring wear common to this album. There is some residue from a price sticker(?) in the upper right hand corner (a closeup is included). The back shows minor discoloration and light staining one might expect from a 22 year old record. Most of the upper edge is seam split as well as approx half of the bottom edge. Corners are bumped but the cover is straight and uncreased overall. The spine is in very good condition with the text still clearly legible and no signs of seam splits.
The vinyl is in VG+ to EX condition, showing only minor paper scuffs and smudges. The blank B-side is slightly less pristine but (obviously) that does not effect playback. The record plays though beautifully without skips and a minimum of incidental noise. A good cleaning would probably bring this record back to sounding almost as good as when it was pressed. The labels are near perfect, the only imperfection is a tiny number "40" written lightly in ball point pen on both sides. Also included is the often missing lyric sheet which is in great shape. It is uncreased, untorn, and crisp white.
