CONDITION :

SIDE 1 = EXCELLENT-

A few light surface scuffs, and one very small and minor light scratch which cause a couple of very quiet clicks. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of its sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. General sound quality is excellent, with some occasional minor surface noise.

SIDE 2 = EXCELLENT-

A few light surface scuffs. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of its sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. General sound quality is excellent, with some occasional minor surface noise.

SIDE 3 = EXCELLENT-

A few light surface scuffs. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of its sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. General sound quality is excellent, with some occasional minor surface noise.

SIDE 4 = EXCELLENT-

A few light surface scuffs. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of its sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. General sound quality is excellent, with some occasional surface noise, and a couple of minor 'pops'.

UNLAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE = VERY GOOD

In common with most copies of this LP, there is some general wear to the unlaminated sleeve, and some wear to spine, edges, and corners, but no seam splits. Small mark on rear of sleeve where a sticker has been removed. No writing anywhere. No major creases. Spine has some general wear (see photo).

** RARE EARLY PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC GRATEFUL DEAD ALBUM WITH THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK WARNER BROTHERS ORANGE LABELS **

Condition of discs as stated above. Lustrous vinyl. Clean labels. Some spindle marks. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, or writing on labels. Very clean labels. Very good sound quality throughout, as described above. A very listenable LP indeed. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Condition of unlaminated gatefold sleeve as stated above. Some general wear - especially to corners, edges and spine.

Supplied in original plain white inner sleeves, which have some age-related discolouration.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:

MINT (M):

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
