INTERESTING Late sixties band formed and led by George Alexander (nee Alexander Young) of the same family that spawned the Easybeats (George Young) and AC/DC (Malcolm and Angus). Initially they were taken under the wing of the Beatles, ala Badfinger, and signed to Apple Records before eventually moving on to the RCA label sporting a new more progressive psych-rock and blues direction.
'Deep Water' was their second and final album and it displays a band working on the cusp of the new progressive rock sounds incorporating all sorts of killer moves from electric blues, fuzzed out psych, heavy rural rock and all points in between. 'Blues In Your Head' is a great track, possibly their best, full of indolent swirling Hammond, ghostly atmosphere, lashings of fuzzed out lead guitar and impassioned vocals.
Oddly the band broke up after this album leaving behind a minor period masterpiece. Rare!
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: A beautiful clean and shiny copy - one lone spindle mark on labels and virtually no other signs of use. Super clean and plays without any noise. Grades as a solid archive MINT-!
Cover: A really clean copy. Laminated to front with only moderate signs of use - one dinged corner (not badly). Faint impression of the vinyl through the front cover. Laminate is still shiny and displays good gloss. Sharp corners - no bends and no creases. Slight laminate lift along spine. Unlaminated rear panel is clean with, amazingly, no ring wear - just the faintest signs of age. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 41 years after release. Grades as a solid Ex
