This album comes from a collection of the Warner Brothers / Reprise Executive we acquired about two years ago, in which nearly 100% of the albums were either white label promos, or still sealed, or – believe it or not – both.

Based on our hunch, as well as the fact that the album has a promo-only insert which is an otherwise reliable indicator that the record inside is a white label promo, we feel that the album contains a white label promo record inside; however, we caution that we are not entirely certain: While we firmly believe that this is indeed white label promo pressing, we do not offer any guarantee that it is, and the bidders should not base their decision to bid on this item solely on our hunch, or on their hope or anticipation that they might find a white promo label inside. Please be guided accordingly.

This is the Gram Parsons' historic first album, and - as far as we are concerned - the finest album he ever recorded in his all-too-brief career. A chockfull of gems - each track is a marvel.

The PROMOTIONAL, RADIO STATION-, AUDITION OR DEMONSTRATION COPIES AND RELEASES (such as the one we have here) were often distributed among the radio stations before the record was released to the public, sometimes as much as four months ahead. These records are generally considered to be the "first among equals", which is to say the VERY FIRST generation and the VERY FIRST pressings of the particular title; a PROTOTYPE and the earliest known official pressing of the record.

(b)            The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)             The record comes with its original promo-only insert (letter of introduction from the label), neatly tucked in under the shrink wrap

(d)            The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(e)             Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

(f)              White Promo Label version of this title – and we ASSUME this is the one, but cannot be 100% certain - is much rarer that a regular, commercially released, version of this title. We estimate that stock copies of this album outnumber promo copies by a ratio of at least 100:1.
