Description
This is aexcellent prog/psych LP from a band called Gracious!. It's a self-titled album and was released on the UK Vertigo swirl label in 1970. the catalogue no. is 6360 002. It's a stereo recording. The music can best be described as progressive psychedelic symphonic rock.
OUTER SLEEVE - The gatefold sleeve is textured on the front and shows some definite discolouration but virtually no damage. In my opinion the winner of the auction could carefully clean up the sleeve without inflicting any damage to it but I will leave it to the winner The inner section of the gatelold is in fine condition with virtually no wear at all. The top and bottom edges are in fine condition with minimal wear and the spine is in very good condition except for the discolouration mentioned above. The wording along the spine is 100% readable I've graded the sleeve as VG++.
INNER SLEEVE - Standard Vertigo die cut paper bag type with polythene liner and printed on both sides with the expanded Vertigo swirl logo. It states in the bottom left hand corner - 'PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS...ETC British Patent No. 800513 & 973939 mADE IN ENGLAND - B1/0470. I've graded the inner bag Ex--.
RECORD - The record itself looks vquite clean although there are some minor marks on both sides and there is some definite surface noise and the occasional pop and click which can be heard in quiet passages. There are definitely no jumps on any of the tracks. The labels are in fine condition and there with some spindle marks. The record has been well played. There is no damage to the labels on either side. The label on side one is the full Vertigo swirl type with no track listings. The label on side two features the smaller Vertigo swirl label and track listings for both sides. It states on the label on side two - 'Produced byHugh Murphy in conjunction with Gracious'. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - 6360002 1Y//1 V420 111 4 - side two - 6360002 2y//1V 420 12 2. I have graded the record as VG++ and I believe that this is very fair. The winner of this auction will not be disappointed.
