Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st U.K. pressing of Gracious – Gracious! on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 002.
The record is in VG condition; there are some hairlines, some none sounding marks and a small sounding mark in the beginning of “The Dream” on side B. The labels are in VG+ condition, with only a couple spindle marks and some slight wear along the spindle hole on side A.
The textured cover is in VG condition, there is a cat’s claw mark on the top of the spine and some grubbiness on both front and back (this white cover is always very contagious to dirt and handling). The opening edge also has some light wear.
Although the record and cover are not in perfect condition, this debut album of Gracious on the Vertigo Swirl label is extremely rare. And although this record certainly has been played, it still sounds great. Everyone knows that these older U.K. pressings can have take a lot of “beating” before the sound quality really deteriorates. So, this is your chance to own a great progressive record of a nice price! Happy Bidding!
