Brief description of item

ELTON JOHNS "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodbye_Yellow_Brick_Road

This album is serious rarity in the set you see here. Released numerous times from it's original incarnation.

This is the ORIGINAL 1970's test pressing 2 L.P. U.K. DJM records set. With 2 X transparent white label vinyl. This is NOT a reproduction or later anniversary edition or any other type of re-release. Matrix numbers indicate DJLPD 1001 A1/B1/C1 & D1 all matching set!!! the ORIGINAL U.K. DJM records release. Pre dates  (slightly) the actual release by a couple of months. Hold the vinyl up to bright light (as you can see) a bonus - red transparent vinyl.

Both records are here in this set & both play as no less than EXCELLENT. There are no jumps/skip/locked grooves in play. Runs smoothly on each record. Visually there are a few cover paper removal lines/bit of storage wear, none of this will have any impact on the actual recordings. I have cleaned the records before playing & they will only benefit from a deep clean on a professional cleaner.

WHITE label test pressings that are UNIQUE as originals. You might see some late reproductions, but this is the real deal from a shop in the 70's that used to stock vinyl in the U.K. Obtained by myself.

The cover is the triple fold out gated sleeve, jacket is in more than acceptable condition. No serious issues such as, damp, ripping, dirt, tearing or handwritten names etc. Intact & only some small signs of superficial crease from over the years, typical to the design really. A conservative very good plus + grading to make sure your happy upon receiving. Could grade as EX. ANY ELTON FAN WILL HAVE TO OWN! you will not see this anyplace else. Comes from a reputable seller - ME. Please see my 100%feedback score. I pack any items with care & special BOX type mailers. With proper packing of 2 X card stiffeners/records removed from jacket & stored behind the record sleeve inside a new poly protective bag. I also (upon request) can use a polygram mailer, there are no extra costs to you the buyer, but I can only use these for items over £100.00 as they cost me extra. Please see the exact item here below, no effects added, in the LARGER view below. Thankyou.

All vinyl comes from a smoke, damp and pet free environment

>>  Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves

Remember to check out my other items to take advantage of combined shipping!
