Description
MEGA RARE Original 1975 UK Track Record 1st Pressing 'Switch' by Golden Earring!!! Mega Rare A1//B1 1st Press Matrix, 1st Press Matrix Etchings & Black/Silver Track 1st Press Labels!!! Complete with Mega Rare Lyric/Picture Insert & 1st Press Non Laminated Gothic Print Finishers Sleeve!!! Very Rare UK 1st Pressing in Unbelievable Nr Mint Condition Throughout!!!
From my own pristine collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on the mega-scarce and sought-after UK 1st pressing of 'Switch' by the incredibly underrated Golden Earring!!! However what makes this example so rare is that it is the true UK Stereo Track Record 1st pressing!!! It has the Side 1: MELYS & Side 2: MELY Matrix 1st press etchings and the 1st press A1//B1 matrix!!! Further, it comes complete with its original 1st press lyric/picture Insert - these are very hard to find as most copies did not have this insert and of the ones that did, many have been lost or trashed - this one is Mint!!!!
What's more, it comes complete with its correct original non-laminated Gothic Print Finishers Press 1st press non-laminated sleeve!!! Not only that but this record is in sensational condition throughout, most copies I have seen for sale over the past few years have been absolutely trashed especially the record and the original fragile cream coloured un-laminated sleeve, most are also missing their inserts. Not this one - not only is it the rarest UK 1st pressing, but it is also in BEAUTIFUL Nr Mint condition throughout - this record is flawless with no blemishes to the playing surfaces at all - Stunning!!! This is the most PRISTINE example of this very rare record I have ever owned or seen; and being the earliest 1st press it is straight from the master!!! The UK 1st pressing is extremely hard to find today in complete 1st press condition and only very rarely shows up - and never in Nr Mint condition like this - don't miss it!
Cat No:
2406-117
Matrix:
Side 1 - 2406-117 A1
Side 2 - 2406-117 B1
Not only is this the rarest pressing you will find of this amazing record - it is also in Nr Mint condition!!! This 1st press vinyl is in superb condition, it is really is a beautiful looking record and retains all of its deep mirror-like lustre and shine and has NO groove-wear!! The cool silver/black Track centre labels are stunning! Nice and clean with no scuffs, tears, blemishes and no unwanted writing/ scribbles. There are NO spindle lines visible on Side 1 and is just the very faintest evidence of spindle lines around the spindle hole in Side 2!!! What can I say about the vinyl that I have not already said? It is stone cold Mint- with NO Scratches, No scuffing, NO Hairlines, NO Bagrash, NO blemishes of any kind at all! Nothing - It is absolutely perfect!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played once or at the most twice before!!! Impossible for a UK stereo 1st pressing of this album!!! The record still retains ALL of its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It it has NO jumps, NO skips, NO between track crackle and NO nasty loud pops!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl looks and feels great (it is super heavy and thick!). I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Mint-!!! Its as simple as that it does not have a single blemish to it - not even a hairline!!! -This record would be suitable for the highest grade Mint- 1st press Psych collection - you will not find a better example!!!
The 1st press un-laminated Gothic Print Finishers sleeve is in STUNNING condition with NO nasty Seam Wear and NO Scribbles/Writing, marks or blemishes anywhere. It retains all of its box shape and has MINT sharp corners!!! There is NO edge corner wear at all!!! This sleeve is also beautifully clean. Because there were white and un-laminated they suffered from terrible grubbyness. This one id perfect - it was placed into a thick outer PVC sleeve when purchased from new so has retained all of its beautiful whiteness!!! A stunning Nr Mint example of this fragile sleeve!!! As mentioned above, it comes complete with its original gatefold lyric/picture insert which is in superb MINT condition!!! A stunning example!!!
A very rare UK 1st pressing indeed - especially complete and in this condition!!! This is one of those LP's with a seriously underestimated rarity value!!! You just never see this record anymore in the UK, and on the rare occasions they turn up it is NEVER in Nr Mint condition like this one!!! A great album and a sound investment for the future! Don't Miss!
Like the vast majority of my collection, this record has been archived in a smoke & damp free environment for the best part of 20-30 years!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
