final collection copy
Original 1973 very first pressing issued by TRADE MARK OF QUALITY as a sprawling DOUBLE album and pressed on dazzling GOLD & BLUE VINYL ...tracks preformed from the Aqualung Thick As A Brick & Passion Play albums - completely difference versions here!

Someone has spent a lot of time remastering the entire recording - the sound quality is excellent.  It is pretty clear the original master tape has been used for this exercise. The PA system can clearly be heard humming.  Ian Anderson complains to the mixing desk about this during the performance.  The only less-than-perfect song is "Cross Eyed Mary", where there is a static-like crackling distortion on the high notes. "A Passion Play" (the long epic different version here)) is edited, no doubt due to the limitations of fitting onto 12" vinyl.  "Critique Oblique" stops abruptly; "Forest Dance #1", "The Story of the Hare...", and "Forest Dance #2" are missed out completely; it jumps straight into "Foot of Our Stairs", and ends with "Flight from Lucifer".  The drum Solo is also an edited version of what Barriemore Barlow performed on the night, with over three minutes missing - maybe a good thing as far as drum solos in general go.

Forum'73 is very highly recommended; you can't get much better for APP tour recording. .....
