"It’s often overlooked that Skip Candelori was in a couple of great bands after Turning Point. Part of that has to do with just how incredible (later) Turning Point was, and part of it is that Godspeed and Memorial Day didn’t sounds a whole lot like Turning Point. That said, it’s not that much of a departure from the final Turning Point recordings, it’s slowed down and more melodic and Skip’s become a bit of a better singer. I’m listening to the EP right now, and it’s really hard to describe. Maybe a cross between 90’s Indie bands like Braid or Superchunk and and some of the more rock oriented projects that 80’s Hardcore folks did like Quicksand or Earth is Flat era Supertouch." - newwestcrew.tumblr.com
